Stop looking for validation from others' when it comes to parenting.

If you go out with your friends and have WAY too much to drink, DO NOT FEEL BAD.

You are human.

Getting a sitter and letting loose does not make you a bad parent and you do not need to prove to the public how much you love your kids.

We KNOW you love your kids! Don't feel the need to post about having a night out and how much you will miss them.

Put your phone down and enjoy your surroundings.

We are living in a time where we are expected to be picture perfect parents. We feel guilt when time is spent away from our kids. Many of us feel the constant need to validate our actions. Yes I went for drinks with Jenny from yoga class but I MISSED MY LITTLE RONALD SO MUCH.

Stop. that.

Your kids' need time away from you just as much as you need a break from them. Stop with the guilt posting and enjoy your time.

Trust that when the bar closes and you are reunited with your kid(s), they will not think any less of you. That is what is important to them.
